Hobbies and Interests

When I took this picture I could feel my hands start to get numb I had been outside for a while and just got caught up in the moment. I could smell the freshly fallen snow. I chose this picture because I love my camp and when I went up I couldn't believe that there was still snow. I have been waiting so long and finally I got to go up. I love having neighbors beside us because we can talk and have lots of fun.

Food

When I took this photo I was trying to set it up so it had some humor in it. I loved the idea of doing the cracked egg idea. I have seen these before and I loved it. That is why I chose this photo!

Creative Portaits

When I took this picture it was kind of last minute. As I turned around she was there and I thought that it would look funny if I did it close up and out of focus. I think that it came out pretty good with many emotions, and expressions.

I took this photograph because it was in the right lighting and I loved the smile. As soon as I took the photograph I knew that it came out good. It is smooth and shows many expressions which I love.

Selfie

When we took this photo was all wanted to do some sort of smile and we naturally landed in this pose. I think that this is a good selfie because its right in the moment and we all were smiling at the same time. That is why we chose this as our favorite.

History of Photography

I learned a lot about Sandy Skoglund and her work. I loved her photographs even though some of them were creepy. The second thing learned that a lot of different people contributed to making the camera work and getting the picture. I always thought that it was one or two people that worked on the camera so I was surprised and amazed. The last thing that I learned was photography can be used in all sorts of way. Sandy Skoglund had sculptures in her photos that she had set. I learned so many things during this project that now I have a better understanding. I will definitely use what I learned during my shoots.

Portrait Techniques

Subject Expression:  I would like to use this because I love taking pictures of peoples expressions

Framing: This is really cool. I love how close you can be and take great shots. I want to do this when I take my shots.

Low perspective: I love taking different perspective pictures, because it gives you a different view of everything.

Lighting: I found this picture really cool. I love how the lights come out in swirls.

Famous Portaits

I chose this photograph by Richard Avedon because I like how he has a white background so you are not distracted. I thought that he really captured the feelings that men felt when they worked in mines. It really shows how bad it was back then, and how bad the miners had it.

I chose this photograph by Arnold Newman because I loved the colors and how he set the person. I feel like if I walked down a busy street and just looked I could find this. The colors really bring me to the person sitting. That is some of the reason why I like the photograph.

I chose this photograph of Mick Jagger by Annie Leibovitz  in Buffalo, New York, 1975. I chose this because you would think that the photographer just ran into him, but actually it was set up. This is why I like some of Annie Leibovitz photos.
